An Idea Takes Hold

An idea takes hold

During preparations for a sculpture commission at a New England college, a small wax model of the larger 4' x 4' woodcarving spawned an idea for a fish belt buckle.  The idea lay dormant until Schaefer turned her focus to jewelry and men's accessories.  Then while working on a project to carve men's buckles representing the Big Five Fish of Fly Fishing, the realization struck that men too need a way to express themselves.
